CCFCU and Wescom

The Next Stage of Growth With You In Mind

We would like to inform you of an important and exciting update to your Central Coast Federal Credit Union (CCFCU) account(s). For more than 70 years, CCFCU has been committed to providing residents of Monterey County with valuable, personal banking services. That member-first focus enables us to seek strategic opportunities to improve the everyday banking needs of our nearly 15,000 members. In order to provide you with even greater financial products, services, and access, we are excited to share with you that CCFCU has entered into a merger agreement with Wescom Credit Union.

Since 1934, Wescom has been dedicated to building better lives. Headquartered in Pasadena, California, with more than $6 billion in assets and 220,000-plus members, Wescom is one of the largest credit unions in the nation. Pending regulatory approval as well as a vote from our membership, the merger is set to take place in the second quarter of 2024. Upon completion, CCFCU members will have access to Wescom’s 24 retail branches (and growing) located throughout Southern California and full-service banking solutions including checking, savings, auto loans, credit cards, and home loans, including Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC), insurance services, and investment solutions. Additionally, CCFCU members will also be able to take advantage of robust digital banking tools including Zelle®, SnapDeposit1, and direct deposit up to two days sooner.2

You will still continue to have access to our four retail branches in Monterey County. They will remain open and convert to Wescom branches once the merger is complete. Additionally, the entire CCFCU team members will join the Wescom family but remain in the Central Coast. You can rest assured that the same friendly faces who help you today will still be the same who help after the transition.

Like CCFCU, Wescom is driven by the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” and believes in the power of community. The Wescom Foundation, powered by a network of Wescom employees and members, is dedicated to making the communities it serves a better place through strategic grantmaking and engagement.  To date, the Foundation has donated more than $3.5 million towards these efforts and we are delighted that our community arm will join forces with the Wescom Foundation and further the betterment of the communities here in Monterey County.

The CCFCU leadership team and the entire Board of Directors are excited for this next stage of growth and providing our members with a greater depth of products, technologies, access channels, and service you’ve come to expect from CCFCU. As we work through the transition, we will promptly communicate important updates to you directly.

Thank you for your membership and the trust you have placed in your Credit Union.

Sincerely,

Leinette Limtiaco                                                   Darren Williams
