Accounting Clerk I
Full time position in our Main Branch, 4242 Gigling Road, Seaside, CA (Fort Ord)

Central Coast Federal Credit Union has an immediate opening for an experienced Accounting Clerk I in our Seaside Branch. Essential functions of this position are to perform detailed accounting assignments and tasks for the credit union including daily balancing of general ledger accounts, stop payment requests, VISA debit card oversight and orders, ATM deposit verifications and adjustments, accounts payable, merchant duties, daily JV postings, filing and keeping of various financial or statistical records. Applicant should be well-versed and knowledgeable on federal accounting regulations and general accounting practices and be able to communicate with management, examiners, and all stakeholders to include vendors and members as well.

In addition, this position will also be responsible for member services duties such as answering phones and assisting members by answering their questions, researching accounts if necessary and demonstrating products and services to our members. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who will provide outstanding member service to all existing and potential members and who will support CCFCU’s mission, vision and values through active community involvement initiatives

Minimum qualifications: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications, accounting principles and practices, banking and reporting of financial data as well as methods and practices of financial record keeping, including journal, ledger accounts systems and electronic spreadsheets. Thorough understanding of debits, credits and credit union GLs and their effect on financial statements. Ability to understand and carry out assigned work with minimal supervision. Associate’s Degree in Business or Accounting (or related field) or Accounting Certificate is required. Equivalent combination of education/experience in the preparation and maintenance of financial and statistical records, and/or accounting operations may be substituted for AA/Accounting Certificate.

Teller
Full time position in our Soledad Branch, 315 Gabilan Drive, Soledad, CA

Central Coast Federal Credit Union has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced Bilingual Teller in our Soledad Branch. Essential functions of this position are to perform a wide variety of duties related to handling member accounts, preparing reports, balancing cash drawer, processing ATMs, cross selling products and services and educating members on services available. In addition, this position will also be responsible for member services duties such as answering phones and assisting members by answering their questions, researching accounts if necessary and demonstrating products and services to our members. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who will provide outstanding member service to all existing and potential members and who will support CCFCU’s mission, vision and values through active community involvement initiatives.

Minimum qualifications: High school graduate with six months’ experience in teller operations in a financial institution (or equivalent) is required. Applicants must be Spanish Bilingual for this position.
