"Member Privilege" Overdraft Protection
Member Privilege is an overdraft limit of $400.00 that is automatically assigned to your share draft account after the initial 6 month waiting period on new accounts. It provides you with an added level of protection against unanticipated cash flow emergencies and account reconciliation errors. There is no need to sign up for anything. You also have the right to “Opt” out of this program at any time.
How does it work?
As long as you maintain your account in good standing (defined by making deposits and bringing your account balance positive at least once every 30 days) we will honor overdrafts of up to $400 (including the overdraft fees). You may use this service by writing a check, ATM withdrawal, Online Banking, Tell-A-Phone, or Debit card transactions and must bring the account back to a positive balance within 30 days from using this service.
How Much does this service cost?
There is no additional cost for this service. However you will be charged the standard NSF fee of $25.00 per transaction. When the service becomes available on your account, you will receive important information detailing this service for your information and records.

Club 55
Club 55 is a very special club for very special people — and membership is automatic if you meet eligibility requirements! You will be enrolled in Club 55 automatically provided either you or a joint owner on your account is 55 years of age or older and your average total account balance for the month is $1,000.00 or higher. As a member of Club 55 you will enjoy waived fees for Traveler's Checks and Money Orders, free checking, free seminars, and much, much more! You even receive a special Club 55 Members Only statement on your account ...

Notary Services
Notary Public Service is available at all our Branch locations during normal lobby hours, although we suggest that you call ahead for appointments- especially on the 1st and 15th of each month and on Fridays as those are our busiest days. Signature Guarantees are available at our Main Branch only. We waive the $10.00 per signature Notary Fee for active Credit Union members.

Tell-A-Phone Audio Response & Online Account Access
You don't have to come into one of our branches or run to an ATM to access your Central Coast FCU account... All you need is either a touch-tone phone or a PC connected to the Internet (and we know you have one of those, otherwise you wouldn't be here!). With Audio Response Tell-A-Phone you may verify your account and individual share balances, make loan payments and share-to-share transfers, check account histories, and so on. On any touch-tone phone, you just type in your account number and a credit union-assigned personal identification number in order to access your account 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. Online Account Access lets you do everything you can do with Tell-A-Phone and then some. Do you have Quicken or Microsoft Money? you can download account information into either one of these Home Financial Software packages! Want to pay your bills online? We offer this service free of charge, regardless of the number of bills you pay! You can order checks, send us secure messages, apply for loans and much, much more! Insurance Products
Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance: Each member receives $1,000 in coverage at no charge. You may elect to increase this coverage at anytime (as long as you are an active member) for a small, quarterly premium deducted directly from your Prime Share savings account.
Member Payment Protection: What if you were to become sick and unable to work? How would you make your loan payments? Or worse, what if you were to pass away? Do you want to leave your spouse with the burden of making loan payments? Member Payment Protection is what you need to prevent such a scenario from ever occurring ... Premiums for this valuable insurance are extremely affordable and are included in your regular monthly loan payment. For example, Single Credit Life and Single Credit Disability Insurance premiums for a sixty-month automobile loan would be the equivalent of adding about one extra payment to the loan. We offer both single and joint coverage.
Mechanical Breakdown Insurance: The average family drives their car 18,000-20,000 miles per year. Given that many miles driven, your vehicle could be out of its manufacturer's warranty in less than two years! And once that warranty is up you are looking at $435 for a new fuel pump, $675 for a new air conditioner compressor, $2450 for a new transmission...BIG expenses should anything go wrong! You could buy an extended warranty from the dealership- but is that the best deal? The dealer's extended warranty may only be valid if repairs are made at the dealership. It may only cover the drive train (engine and transmission). We offer Mechanical Breakdown Insurance on new and used vehicle financing. Coverage is "bumper to bumper" and you can bring the vehicle to almost any shop for required repairs. Our policies carry additional benefits such as rental, towing, tire, lockout and trip interruption coverage. You get a choice of deductibles and the total premiums can be as low as 1/2 the cost of dealership extended warranties! Call our loan officers for details.
GAP Insurance: This valuable insurance covers the difference of what you owe on your Central Coast FCU auto loan versus what the Blue Book value of the vehicle is. Why purchase GAP insurance? Say you were to get into an accident one year after purchasing your car and the car was totaled. Your insurance company would give you a settlement in the amount of the Blue Book value, regardless of what you owe on your loan. If you owed $20,000.00 and the insurance settlement was $15,000.00 you would be required to continue to make loan payments on that $5,000 difference even though you are no longer in possesion of the vehicle. GAP insurance would pay that difference for you! How much is GAP coverage? Only $349.00 for the entire term of the loan (up to 84 months) for both new and used vehicles.

Safe Deposit Boxes
We offer Safe Deposit Boxes at our Salinas Branch office in three sizes. A small box rental is only $25 a year, mediums are $35 a year and large are only $75 a year. Statements
All active Credit Union members are at least issued quarterly statements of account. If you have a checking account, direct deposit, or you completed an "electronic" transaction (ATM, Audio Response, Point of Sale, Online Banking) any time during a given month you will be sent a monthly statement. Your statement will list all activity on your account for the statement period, plus year-to-date information on dividends earned and/or interest paid. If you have a checking account, you will receive a list of all checks cleared in both order of clearing and check number order. You can request copies of statements going back as far as six years for $2.00 per statement.

Transfer Funds
Bank-to-Bank Wire Transfers: You may transfer funds to or from any other financial institution in the Federal Reserve Banking system with our Bank to Bank Wire Transfer Service. We send and receive wires twice a day- at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. To transfer to another institution we need that institution's routing and transit number and your account number. There is a $20.00 fee for outgoing wires ($25 if you don't know the routing and transit number). We have no fee for incoming wires.
Western Union Wires: We offer Western Union Quick Cash service for both domestic and international locations. Any where there's a Western Union office your Central Coast Federal funds are available to you! Just give us a phone call during normal business hours and within 45 minutes you'll have as much as you need. We charge $25.00 for domestic Western Unions and $35.00 for International (up to $500.00- international amounts over $500 are $25.00 plus 2% of the principal amount sent). International Western Unions may not be available in all countries- notable exceptions are Mexico, Japan, and any country not on the "most favored trade status" list with the US government. Sorry, we do not offer Western Union "Quick Collect" Service for paying bills...
Online Bill Payment Service: Our Bill Payment services are offered free of charge to any member signed up for our Online Account Access service. We designed our Bill Payment service to allow you to pay bills on any day you wish in any amount you wish. You have total control over setting up new payees, modifying existing payees, or deleting old payees. You can even schedule recurring monthly payments!

Money Orders and Teller & Certified Checks
Money Orders are a safe, convenient way to send money (up to $1,000.00) via US Mail, FedEx, UPS, etc. and are available for $1.00 each (free to Club 55 members). We also offer Teller Checks- at no charge if made out to the accountholder, $2.00 for special payee preparation. If you need guaranteed funds, a Certified Check is the way to go. Certified checks are $2.00 each (waived for Club 55 members).

Traveler's & Gift Cheques
We offer American Express Traveler's Cheques, the most widely-accepted in the world. You can purchase checks in denominations of $20, $50 or $100 in either single-party or two-party style. Single-party checks are free and two-party check cost is 1.5% of the value purchased, $150 minimum. We waive the cost for Club 55 members and Vacation Club withdrawals. We also carry American Express Gift Cheques in $25, $50 or $100 denominations. Gift Cheques are the perfect gift idea for that person who is impossible to shop for! Gift Cheques are $2.50 each.
